    Discharging and recharging your Crystals

When should I discharge and recharge a crystal?

A new crystal does not need to be recharged at first. You will know when it is time to cleanse your crystal. Enjoy it as your personal ritual.

    Discharging and recharging your crystals

Most crystals can easily be cleaned and discharged under running water and then recharged in sunlight or moonlight. The crystals have grown in the dark for many millions of years, so we recommend that you place the crystals in the morning or evening sun to recharge them, as the suns rays tend to be weaker at this time. However, there are some crystals that do not tolerate sunlight, such as amethyst. It would fade in the sunlight, so the amethyst is only charged in the moonlight. If you want to charge the crystals in the moonlight, find a place like for example at the window or on the balcony, where the moonlight can shine on the crystal.

    Smoke

Instead of using water to discharge your crystals, you can also use smoke such as palo santo, incense or sage. You light the incense for a small moment and then carefully wave out the flame and let the incense just glowing. Now hold your crystal briefly over the emerging smoke or pass the crystal back and forth through the smoke.

The ritual creates a beautiful mood and also cleanses the room of bad energies.

    Clear Quartz for recharging crystals.

If you have a rock crystal, you can easily recharge your crystal by placing your  discharged crystal next to or on the rock crystal for a few hours.

    Amethyst the all-rounder

The amethyst has independently of its healing effect also the power to discharge crystals and then recharge them. Just put the crystal on your amethyst for a few hours.

An Amethyst Druse is also very much suitable for this.
