STORM OF CHANGE
STORM OF CHANGE - Cathedral Quartz with Albite and Tourmaline
This crystal was chosen for its aura of strength, courage, and movement. The cathedral quartz, enhanced by tourmaline and a unique quartz formation, combines various qualities in perfect harmony. Its intricate structure evokes universal connections and inspires reflection on old habits while encouraging the exploration of new possibilities. The tourmaline adds a stabilizing and protective element, shielding against external influences and fostering a sense of security. The additional albite symbolizes growth and development, complementing the powerful presence of the cathedral quartz. Together, these elements provide support in opening new perspectives and embracing change with clarity and inner stability.
Sapo Mine/ Minas Gerais Brazil
This impressive cathedral quartz, also known as light quartz, originates from the Sapo Mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. It develops in pegmatite environments, where mineral-rich fluids containing silica and trace elements infiltrate cracks in the rock. Over thousands of years, these fluids cool and evaporate, allowing the minerals to crystallize into well-defined structures. The name “cathedral quartz” reflects its unique elongated, spire-like points that evoke the towering spires of Gothic cathedrals. This specimen features a prominent milky albite that formed naturally on the cathedral quartz, contras- ting beautifully with its clear facets while capturing light and revealing vibrant rainbows at its tip. The interplay of cathedral quartz and notable tourmaline inclusions showcases the geo- logical richness and complexity of the Sapo Mine, making this piece a distinctive representation of natural crystal formation.
