THE IN-BETWEEN
THE IN-BETWEEN - Faden Quartz
This large Faden Quartz, with its characteristic thread-like inclusions, serves as a beautiful symbol of connection and growth. The energy of this Faden Quartz is both grounding and uplifting. Nest- led between two companion stones, it draws strength from their presence. Its energy brings profound clarity, helping to untangle mental and emotional knots. The structure of the Faden Quartz— anchored yet dynamic—promotes stability while opening space for new possibilities. Especially in its delicate threads stretched in-between, it reminds us that we often find answers and beauty precisely in the “in-between.” The juxtaposition of the Faden Quartz with the two companion stones enhances its natural properties; its elegant threads and the supportive presence of the surrounding stones provide a nurturing energy that fosters clarity, connection, and balance. It’s a lovely reminder of how interconnected we are and how we can find equilibrium within our surroundings.
Himalayan Mountain, Pakistan
This impressive Faden Quartz originates from Vana, a village nestled between the Hindu Kush and Himalayan mountain ranges in Pakistan. Known for its thread-like inclusions, Faden Quartz takes its name from the German word for “thread.” The- se inclusions form as the crystal grows over thousands of years in slowly widening fissures within the host rock, bridging and healing fractures. During growth, the fissures may reopen or shift slightly, and the quartz heals by further crystallizing, strengthening the thread structure. This slow process, often spanning hundreds of thousands of years, creates the characteristic white thread of liquid and gas inclusions, especially visible in crystals that grow parallel to the rock wall. The yellowish tint of this Faden Quartz comes from traces of iron and other minerals incorporated during its growth. The serene landscape of Vana provides ideal conditions for these crystals, a reminder of nature’s patience in shaping such unique wonders.
